I saw Mr Jan several months ago as I was suffering from an advanced prolapse. I am a very anxious patient and had been suffering with the prolapse for a number of years before I sought any medical advice. I was extremely frightened of having surgery and Mr Jan was very respectful of my decision to try and avoid surgery for as long as possible. He advised physiotherapy which I tried for a few months but when the prolapse became more severe Mr Jan strongly advised surgery. I trusted his judgment completely and knew he didn’t advise this lightly. Within 2 weeks his wonderful PA Helen had organised my operation at The Lister Hospital. Mr Jan’s calm, patient and professional manner really put me at ease and I felt completely confident under his care. I underwent a full hysterectomy and internal repair which went very well and I was amazed at how quickly I recovered and started to get back to normal. I am now 4 weeks post op and have barely visible tiny incision scars. I highly recommend Mr Jan and only wish I’d seen him sooner.

When I first saw Mr Jan, I was in pain and frightened . His calm, straightforward approach soon gave me the confidence that I was in safe hands. He listened to me, answered any questions I had and always made me feel that he was treating me as an individual. The surgery went extremely well and my very small scars healed perfectly. I was lucky to have him as my doctor. His PA Helen was also very kind, efficient and helpful in facilitating the necessary scans I had to have and chafing up results as necessary

Following years of suffering with stage 4 endometriosis, Mr Jan performed a laparoscopy on me in December 2017. The operation has made a huge improvement on my general health and most of all, after years of fertility problems and failed IVF attempts, I fell pregnant naturally just two months after my operation and my husband and I welcomed our first child in November 2018. From the moment I met Mr Jan I knew I was in safe hands, he immediately identified the problem and his kind and gentle nature put me at ease. Mr Jan also works with a wonderful team at Ashtead Hospital, including his anaesthetist, theatre nurses and Helen his PA. I am eternally grateful to Mr Jan and thanks to my operation, my husband and I were able to fulfil our dream of starting a family. There are no words to thank Mr Jan enough.

I was recommended to Mr Jan via a friend who had treatment following issues she experienced by other consultants. I have suffered for many years and had many poor clinical procedures and misdiagnosis. So I was sleptical. My first appointment was comprehensive, hystercopy then MRI. Mr Jan is transparent and very clear at explaining. I had a full hysterectomy laporscopy, removal of fibroids, cysts & endometriosis as well as rectifying the start of a prolapse. He saw me throughout my 3 day stay daily. Has been thorough & has put my mind at ease regarding the future of now no longer being in pain and being in the menopause at 42. I have a clear ongoing follow up plan and can only say what an excellent experience it has been start to finish. Helen his PA is equally as wonderful, ensuring she is in contact regularly always knowing what is going on and when. Making the process easy and efficient. As a team I have never had experienced such excellent clinical and support care. Highly recommended! Wish I had seen him years ago!

I had LAVH with Mr Jan at Parkside. I had extensive adenomyosis and endometriosis. The procedure was a success and Mr Jan also removed additional endometriosis from the pelvic area. I found Mr Jan to be calm and reassuring and he is right up to date, if not ahead of the curve and knowledgeable regarding the very latest science regarding these procedures. I would describe his as a leader in his field. I’m 2 weeks post surgery, my surgical incisions are completely healed and almost invisible. The first week was tough but after 10 days I was out for (slow) walks around the park :-) I can’t recommend him highly enough.
